Terms and Conditions
Please read our terms and conditions to ensure that your stay at Tigh na Mara is enjoyable and care free.
Bookings can be made online, by e-email or by telephone. A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation and this is collected automatically by our online system. If booking by email or telephone, we will supply you with our bank details for the payment of your deposit.
The final balance for your stay is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. If you have booked online, this will be collected automatically unless you have informed us that you wish to pay your balance by bank transfer. Once final payment has been received, we will contact you with directions and the key safe code applicable to your stay.
Bookings cancelled within 8 weeks of arrival are non-refundable, subject to the owners’ discretion. Cancellations made more than 8 weeks before arrival will result in the 30% deposit being retained.
The property will be inspected upon departure and the owners’ reserve the right to apply additional charges for damage or breakages. Please smoke outside. Smoking within the property will result in a £200 cleaning charge.
Check-in time is from 1600 hours on arrival day unless otherwise arranged. Guests are asked to vacate the property on departure day by 1000 hours to allow for cleaning and servicing of the house for our next guests. Letting periods are from Saturday to Saturday (unless otherwise arranged).
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. All pets must use their own beds and are not permitted on the furniture. Please be mindful of the road at the back of the house and clean up after your pet. There is livestock in the area and dogs should be kept under strict control and on a lead when necessary. . Heating and electricity is included in the rental price.
The wood burning stove is suitable for burning wood only. Complimentary logs are provided free of charge. Avoid burning any other fuels, including coal and peat, as they will damage the stove.
Condition of the property
All faults, concerns, issues must be reported to us immediately so they can be rectified. Please do not wait until departure day to advise us of problems as we would prefer to make sure that everything is working properly during your stay. This also allows us to rectify any problems before our next guests arrive. Furniture, fixtures, fittings and contents should be left in the same condition as they are found by the occupier at the start of the rental period. All damages and breakages must be reported. The house must be left in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period.
