Tigh na Mara was constructed in 2019 and offers visitors to the Ullapool area the opportunity to stay in a contemporary self-catering home in a stunning location. Nestled into the hillside on an elevated site above Ardmair Bay, three miles north of Ullapool, Tigh na Mara is a beautiful retreat for couples or solo guests looking for high quality accommodation in this dramatic part of Scotland.

Tastefully decorated and well-equipped, the house comprises one bedroom, a luxurious bathroom and an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. All rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and doors allowing for uninterrupted views towards the Summer Isles, Isle Martin and Ben Mor Coigach.

Sheltered Access

The entrance to Tigh na Mara is situated under a covered decked area at the rear of the property. This outdoor space offers shelter whatever the weather and provides a convenient place to store jackets and boots after a day in the great outdoors. Inside, an airy interior and cosy wood-burning stove await.

Well Equipped Open-Plan Living and Dining Studio

The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining studio is the perfect place to relax and take in the breathtaking views and stunning sunsets. With a comfortable sofa and armchairs, unwind by the wood burner, take in the ever-changing landscape outside, or simply enjoy your favourite book with a glass of wine. Large sliding glass doors open up the interior to the outside and provide access to decking at the front of the house. The modern kitchen is well-equipped and includes a dishwasher, fridge and freezer, oven and hob, microwave and washer-dryer. High quality crockery, cutlery and glassware is provided.

Bedroom with king size bed

The bedroom includes a king size bed with Hypnos mattress, luxury linens and a large fitted wardrobe. Fall asleep to the sound of the burn flowing outside and wake up refreshed to amazing views through the large glass windows and sliding door.

Wetroom

A luxury wetroom-style bathroom includes a rain shower, sink and toilet. The tiles reflect the colour of the pebbles on Ardmair beach below the house and the heated floor and large towel rail offer a real touch of comfort. Luxury towels and facecloths are provided.

Heating and hot water is provided by an air source heat pump, a greener alternative.

Wi-fi, television, radio and an audio system are all provided. Heating and electricity is included in the rental price. We also provide complimentary logs for the wood burner.
