Just a wee drive from Ullapool

Ullapool is the mainland port for the drive-on-drive-off ferry to Stornoway in the Hebrides, meaning there are plenty of stunning islands to visit nearby. The fascinating Summer Isles provide Loch Broom and Ullapool with shelter from the big waves of the Atlantic – and they’re a pretty spectacular place to visit too!

With so many outdoor activities, rugged Scottish landscapes, and great places to eat and drink, Ullapool and Ardmair have so much to offer those looking for their own adventure in the North West Highlands.

Music & Entertainment

Ullapool was recently described as an ‘outdoor paradise’ with a ‘Scandinavian twinkle in winter and Canadian-style adrenalin in summer’ by Outdoor Fitness, a multi-fitness lifestyle magazine.

There is a lively music scene with bands regularly playing in The Ceilidh Place, The Arch, The Seaforth and the village hall. During the summer, Ullapool and District Pipe Band and Highland Dancers regularly perform in the village.
